Operation Guidelines
- During startup, slowly raise the feed pressure over a period of 30 to 60 seconds.
- Achieve the cross-flow velocity at the set operating point within 15 to 20 seconds.
- After starting up, throw away the permeate from the first hour.
- To prevent the membrane from becoming damaged, do not suddenly change the pressure or cross-flow.
- After initial wetting, keep the parts moist at all times.
- To stop biological growth during long shutdowns, soak membranes in a preservative solution.
- Maximum pressure drop across a vessel: 50 psi (3.4 bar)
